Terra Lana’s Drop In Floor Insulation is New Zealand’s first BRANZ appraised, high-performance, semi-rigid, fibrous insulation designed to be installed prior to flooring being laid.
Underfloor—Retrofit
Our underfloor insulation is specially designed as a durable, high-performance wool composition that is easy to install. The rigid structure prevents sagging, air movement and heat loss through gaps. Slabs are installed from below and secured by staples.

Suspended from below
Terra Lana’s Drop In Floor Insulation is extra rigid for friction-fit and is suspended by our proprietary strapping system installed from above before flooring.

No more crawling about under floors. We specifically designed a proprietary system for suspended timber framed floors that allows insulation to be installed from above the floor joists, before the sheet flooring.

Retrofit insulation for existing floors
Terra Lana Underfloor wool insulation is designed to fill existing underfloor cavities with a durable, semi-rigid, high-performance wool composition that is easy to install. The rigid structure prevents sagging, air movement and heat loss through gaps. The wool component transmits moisture vapour away from the building and maintains its effectiveness in humid or damp conditions.
Installed from below
Terra Lana Underfloor insulation’s rigidity allows it to be friction-fitted between joists and is stapled through the lower edges onto the joists to prevent dislodging.
Midfloor
Install between floors where an R-Value needs to be achieved (such as above a garage).
